Each time she landed,

she knew the flowers would all be different;

each tasting of their own individual nectar.

She knew she would not stay long but, she had planned to stay a little while.

She had spent most of her life as a caterpillar;

then spent time in a cocoon.

It had only been a matter of weeks.

She grew;

and she grew.

Until one day she was finally reborn.

She had just learned how to fly.

It had not been an easy task at first.

But when she spread her wings and took flight,

she began to soar and glide.

Glide and Soar.

She was liberated.

She fluttered independently.

But the freedom, it didn't last long.

After flying for so many miles, she learned that she must rest.

Even when the nectar whispered her name; beckoning her to come, and drink again.

She knew she needed it, to live.

But not this way.

She never really saw anything that looked like her.

Each time she landed to take a drink of life,

she found herself alone.

Isolated.

Sailing and floating and about the clouds,

in her newfound liberty.

Floating and Sailing.

It was said,

that her very presence would bring others in her path good luck.

She was a sign of rebirth and regeneration.

She didn't care about that.

She only cared about being free to exist,

exactly the way she was.

Unparalleled.

Uncommon.

Unmatched.

She was out of this world.
