Summer is here
At the creek, behind our house
Our kids play together again
After a world pandemic
they climb up a dirt hill,
slide down again, as if it were snow
Plastic bags are the seaweed they fish
a plastic cup their weapon of wars
Boys againts a couple of girls
They bully them
They revenge
Little hands at work,
drawing rainbows in the sand
people gather in places
like they belong
fail not to see those connections
though some are still alone
A dog is wagging its tail
A kid is digging in dirt
our children in a circle of fun
their faces brigthes up beneath the sun
