The hustle and bustle

The busy roads, never ending work.

Drinking coffee quickly

To check the next bus on time

the busy routine

walking on busy streets

long work hours

getting up daily every morning

same old routine

it kind of saves us.

from moments of weakness

from answered questions

from never ending questions

questions which haunt us

answers we don’t accept.

and from unsolvable mysteries

in a way being busy saves us

It saves us from the pain we cannot bear.

it saves us from drowning into the unknown fears.

fears we live with

fears we don’t acknowledge.

like how we exist a mere speckle in this universe

or how life is unpredictable.

in a way being busy saves us

it saves us from false hopes.

it saves us from dull aching pain.

the one that usually asks us what if.

or the one which demands to be felt.

it saves us from long unending conflicts.

conflicts of the heart and mind

everyday struggle

the busy routine

it saves us from unnecessary arguing.

being busy saves us.

from confronting the narcissist

we often come across.

the problems we come across.

but end up ignoring.

being busy saves us.

we set out alarms for the next day.

forgetting our problems

because life doesn’t stop for anything or anybody

so being busy saves us.

in moving smoothly in this circle of life

The never-ending circle which doesn’t stop.

Being busy saves us.
