another day

warmth

wishing

ice on my skin

where no one could see me

so early in the morning

out on the ice

young thing

ambitious

too young to make a splash

loss never discovered

story not yet written

clean

shiny

i’m that girl

the one in all the newspapers

not like the other girls

swimming downward

lost in

what might have been

i don’t think about the other side or

below the surface

eyes ahead

i skate

Love all the ice and water imagery, and this flows well when read the other way. I like the distinction between the girl whose story is unwritten, and the girl who has already been judged and seen. Nice👏

Great inverse and flows so well. Not sure which way is best
