Poem: Where communication fails and so do friendships

I'm watching a friendship come to an end,

as you both are building decisions behind closed doors,

You are creating a clarity without true communication,

adding frustration with every defined moment,

creating distance hiding behind a bigger component,

And you both have a warrant to feel angry,

With how this is being handled,

You mixed a potential friendship with money,

A transaction that can be hard when collided,

One of you fell on a hard time,

The other justified that it would all be fine,

while the months added up each time,

One of you were helpful and kind,

The other can't seem to find his way,

Yet you both are avoiding what you really want to say,

Instead, you jump to conclusions,

Creating illusions in your head,

How this friendship is in the process of being dead,

Instead of figuring out how to fix it,

It's easy to build up resentment when you see no resolution,

The problem is a pollution,

and even if the others trying there may not be a resolution,

Because the damage has been done,

Words have been said more than once,

And each of your actions are defining to you,

You both are reacting to a person you thought you knew,

You both feel a lack of understanding and feeling heard,

Trying would just be another conversation where someone has the last word,

Then you go behind your closed doors,

deciding to keep this friendship has turned into a chore,

Where now you are just living under the same roof,

Deciding through text what you're willing to lose,

Instead of remembering what you had,

You both are focusing solely on the bad,

justifying that it's not worth the hassle,

folding instead of defining boundaries,

Making a decision based off your founding's,

I am watching a friendship come to an end,

And I am just supposed to pretend,

To act like you both are not making a mistake,

That you both are disregarding the grounds of your place,

where you both are living together,

But separate,

In desperate need to not walk on eggshells of the unspoken,

You both are just hoping this will be resolved,

that your friendship will dissolve,

as if you were never involved,

You both are hiding behind closed doors resenting each other's own faults.
