Behind a smile
Is truly the unknown
Every day I make a choice to smile.
It’s so worth while.
It’s not easy though.
Don’t misunderstand.
I choose to smile even when
My life doesn’t go as planned.
That’s the key to being free to me.
Not allowing outside forces
To control my emotions.
This life is mine.
I only get one.
I’m in my mid-20s,
So my life hasn’t just begun.
I have no idea where
My life is heading.
And some days I totally
Lose my shit!
Then, I remind myself to smile.
This isn’t as bad as life can get.
Go the extra mile—
And give someone a smile.
It could save someone’s life.
A smile can stop someone
From harming themselves
With a knife.
