Backstroking

Not getting ahead is a pain!

Backstroking rampage

Going for broke

Felt like a stroke

-

On a good downhill run

Water was dirty

All slimy and murky

-

Still had a good time

Almost won the race

While falling from grace

-

Lines and ghostly smoke

Life was a blur

Always to the curb

-

Wasn’t watching which way

Driving blindfolded

Karma scolded

-

A video game at times

Caught stealing my own soul

Ten times fold

-

Racing shadows

Ignoring good smiles

For miles and miles

-

Backstroking frenzy

Life empty

Plastic people plenty

-

Zenith mud in the sky

In the end

Dying slowly is the trend

-

Laughing with an alligator smile

Sinister and stoic

Wishing azoic

-

Love jettison

Like a heavy plow

Backstroking for a while now

-
