Defined a lack of concentration on one thing,
It is a futile attempt to tell you that we should be focused another,
Stretched and strained as we are in hyperfocus,
There should be an alternative way of being,
Rather than living as a train affixed to itβs track,
Always speeding over straight rails,
Could we perhaps use the switches every now and again?
Take some diversions and explore stations unknown?
Inspire a stroll along the road of distraction,
Onto new ideas, unexpected concepts, and beautiful chaos,
Never get back on track.

Oh, loved this a lot. The flow was impeccable and I agree - distractions aren't always bad. They are often very helpful from a creative point of view and in other areas too! Well done! I'm now a subscriber!
TWW, this was a beautiful entry! I like the metaphor you chose and story you told! This felt very inspiring and left me feeling encouraged to follow the chaos of of distraction! π
Oh the joys of getting lost along the roads of distraction. We would never know what new and unique idea we might get. Loved your poem!
