I agree with Kendall, this is a bit of a puzzle. Having read through the rest of the comments I understand this to be about good news you can't share because they'll make it about something else. Personally, I prefer your choice of "unspent" over "unsent". It carries the same meaning with that little extra attached. The text itself, sending or not sending it, all of it costs you something.
That second line is just so heartbreaking. I'm so sorry Merly. Sending you lots of love and hugs! ❤️
I kind of feel like you haven't sent the text because you've not yet exhausted the possibilities of what exactly to say. And I prob just made it may more complicated than it is. I love that you're making me think. Nicely done.
