At the Precipice

Do We Jump or Do I Fall?

By Lightning Bolt ⚡Published about a year ago • Updated about a year ago • 1 min read
The Moment of Truth.

🌄 I drank the perilous potion.

I set fierce Forces in motion.

I crossed over the line.

Digesting Change takes time.

The email has been written

but it hasn't been sent.

The vixen who was smitten

needs a moment to vent.

The contract has not been finalized,

but its advocates feel revitalized.

Everything is in the works behind the scenes.

Eventually, we'll learn who fostered these schemes.

The doorbell was installed yesterday.

The delivery arrives tomorrow.

Will it leave me feeling hollow?

Is there no better way?

What is scheduled for today?

Are there no rules to follow?

That's a bitter pill to swallow.

Avoiding inevitable conflict as the tension increases

will cause calamitous results when resentment releases.

My red-eye flight will be delayed four hours

much to my delight

someone paid for my whiskey sours!

What next?

Some hex?

Hot sex?

Is Saturday a business day?

I didn't expect this delay.

Yes, I'll take the short survey!

Can fears be held at bay?

Stability starts to sway.

Security is betrayed.

Is there no better way?

Eh?

It all led to this.

Is this horror or bliss?

Push me over the edge.

I've come this far, but now I hesitate

to make the leap of faith.

Take the pledge.

Be my Destiny.

Push me.

Or jump with me.

I'll fall anywhere with you.

Am I here; am I there?

Where will I go

without you?

Tomorrow, I'll know.

Today, I grow.

🌅
