Hey bud Jacky! Keep it bloody down
Don't ya know that ears have walls?
Shhh! It's the warder coming 'round
Keep it in your head mate
If you've anything to say
Or else they'll find us dead mate
Another suicide today
Another suicide today the newspaper's will tell
Two drying out old black men found hanging in the cells
Another suicide today radio will speak
Ah the future of the black man looking very bloody bleak
Another suicide today the coroner will find
All the evidence has gone astray.
Doesn't anybody mind?
So keep it in your head mate
Let's make it through the night
And, in the morning when we wake
we can carry on the fight
Hey! C'mon Jacky wake up!
Oh no! He's done himself
Now he's just another document
Gathering dust upon the shelf
