And It Begins Anew

Eternity

By Cindy CalderPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Eternity is full of abounding life and measure

In every capacity as it spins, twirls, and revolves

It is a day to day event, full of joy and treasure

From which we will decidedly and slowly evolve.

We are ever grasping for the brightest light

As eternity looms ahead, unknown and unbidden

It lingers before our eyes and ears, resplendent in sight

Of yearnings that within our hearts are well written.

Shall we move ever onward toward the source

Feigning an awareness of the encroaching unknown

And lightly traverse along the less traveled course

Fearing evermore we will reap what we have surely sown?

Fear is not something that seeks to capture and hold us

As we move forward toward the surfacing yonder light

Instead, it’s a peace and surety of nature that combusts

To hold us within a lightly veiled awareness of its plight.

So fear not the newness of where eternity is lingering

For we move onward toward its source until the final phase

At which point in time we see beauty and hear bells ringing

While a fullness of life achieved abounds as we are raised.

And life begins anew with a burst of color and bright light

Another chance to start again and achieve a brand new start

Allowing us the chance to make what was wrong now right

As upwards we soar to new heights, reaching for the stars.

Eternity is a quest, an endeavor and a choice for many

But it encompasses one and all within its core

And for all, there remains a vast array of plenty

To enrich life in splendid achievements unlike before.
