If you feel left out of a new mom’s life, this is for you.

When you’re tempted to push them into the space of who they’ve always been…

Remind yourself that change is part of the beauty and evolution of life. Remind yourself to embrace who they are in this moment. Remember that life is not linear but rather goes in cycles. Seasons.

And this season may require hibernation for her, and different focuses, different love and different work to be done.

Do not shy away from the mothers in your life, for they need your companionship and presence more than ever. Love her when she's tired, when she's sad, when she's too worn out to shower. Love her for all the things she'll miss while she was busy tending to the hearts of little ones, when you may not have felt noticed at all.

The mamas feel their loved ones presence, in the way that a home feels just a little warmer when it's filled with the people you love, even if you aren't in the same room.

Remind her she is enough just as she is. Love and value the work she's putting in, the work she's pouring into another being. It may not be you she's pouring into. It’s not your season. But do not think this means you're not important.

Every mother needs a sideline of cheerleaders…

to send her energy full of love and brightness on the darkest days…

to cheer for her and remind her of her power when she feels the weakest…

and to remind her of her value as she feels the warm rays of her worth shine upon her in ricochets of light from those who build her up and share her space.
