An open door/I still reminisce that time
To S.
Years and years and years of narcissistic abuse
Hooked
To all kinds of sex antidote
To all the malice of this life
Showering with gifts
Love bombing
Making a good boy face
To get food from a higher table
Fake, fake, fake
This is what you became in the end
Your kisses weren’t sincere
Enclosed in your pocket
Your wallet was always full
The reverse of your empty heart
I tried to compromise
These notions unaware
That you moulded me there
In your spitting image
And according to your desires
I could follow you all the way to the point
When you showed
Your real feathers
And my head was screaming:
“Get out of here!
And find a better one!”
So that’s what I did
Burning a few bridges in-between
After all, you were still unconscious
Of your scrutinised actions
Or perhaps you didn’t want to disclose them thoroughly?
Knowing how it will affect you
That you could lose face
In the name of not being in love
Despite stating otherwise
Oh, well, what does it matter now?
I used you as much as you used me
I wouldn’t be here without you
But our time together had to come to an end
Without it, there would be no new chapter emerging
Right outside my door
Do you mind if I keep them open
To new options still available to me?
Unfortunately, this time without you, my dear
