.

In Walthamstow's veiled embrace, where shadows play,

A tale of courage and love begins its sway,

Beneath the canopy of Lloyd Park's delight,

Two souls unite, their spirits taking flight.

.

Oh, my boy, youth embattled by the night,

In heart's turmoil, he longed for morning's light,

Yet found in one's gaze, a radiant beam,

A sanctuary from the world's relentless stream.

.

Through cobblestone paths and whispers in the dark,

They wandered, kindred spirits on a sacred arc,

With each step, they forged a bond so true,

Defying odds, their love, forever new.

.

In Lloyd Park's embrace, their secrets shared,

Amidst the rustling leaves, they bared and dared,

To love unbound by judgment's cruel decree,

A testament to the beauty of being free.

.

Through trials and tribulations, they held fast,

Their love a beacon in the tempest's blast,

For in each other's arms, they found their home,

A sanctuary where their hearts could roam.

.

Oh, Lloyd Park, where love's sweet whispers sing,

And shadows dance beneath the moon's soft wing,

Your trees bear witness to a love so pure,

A tale of courage that shall endure.

.

So here's to my boy, a heart so bright,

Two souls who dared to challenge darkest night,

In Walthamstow's heart, their love shall ever shine,

An ode to love's resplendent, endless line.

.

In total we wrote four different poems about this story; and we wrote the story as short story. This has been our first collaboration in almost thirty years. Once upon a time (I'm old enough to say it like that) we have been the founding members of Punk Rock Band called The Sharks and became the creative duo behind the songs. At that time in the 1990s it was rare that we wrote the lyrics together, most of the time we composed the music.

For me it always had been fun to work with you, Ricky!

Thank you for reading. Every feedback is welcomed, so feel free to let me know, how you liked what you just read. And if your time's allowing it, be welcomed to check out my other creations here on vocal.
