i.

setting desire

to an age of wisdom:

i ruminate words

like a feather to your feet

as we lay standing up

the whirlpool of spirits

harpoons reason into a wish

ii.

the dirt sprouts foil

like chocolate notes

“tous les mêmes”

i raise a tongue of barley

alone to the muse’s douses

iii.

sentiment backed a rational

two floaties dance in the shower

those punctured absences

and a lock of your hair

against my heart:

an abysmal of negation

underneath the fall
