All That You Hold Dear

It’s been a long time since I saw you last,

But the love I hold for you isn’t in the past.

I wonder if you’ve met someone new to love,

Or if you’re still searching for the one you dream of.

I hope that you are well and living the way you want,

And that you’re truly happy and not still putting up a front.

I know the years before I knew you had not been kind,

Maybe now you have found your deserved peace of mind.

Someday we may meet again in happier circumstance,

When the love we sacrificed may have a better chance.

Doubtless is this course though I still wish it so,

For my heart will always belong to the you I know.

Yet if it never comes to pass, I wish you all my best,

I’ll hope you’ll receive your favor and the strove for quest.
