The fight for freedom

Is it all for not

Will it ever be realized

Will the pinnacle

Ever be reached

We must kindly agitate

Nonviolence apply

For justice to be achieved

Even in the arena of hate

We must persevere

We must endure

We must carry out

The arduous chore

The struggle

We've been violated

The majority of black and brown people

Have been mistreated

Socially and mentally

Castrated over and over again

But now the time has come to win

Our long sought after civil rights

We can no longer be subjected to the slight

Minimal morsel of justice

However most of the time less

We must overcome

And not be stunned

By what some have done to us

?Numerous acts of violence

Hatred and homicide

For four centuries

So many have died

For no good reason why

Besides being of a different color of skin

We must not quit

From this cause not resign

With God being the catalyst

To get those rights due

So freedom can be rightfully acquired

So we all can come up higher

Internally light a fire

Be inspired

No longer succumb to this

Refused to be hemmed up

By second class citizenship
