Finding piece in chaos

My biggest turn on

Has nothing to do with flesh

When I’m sitting on a bomb

And living in a test

~

I see myself quiet

Curled up on the side of the bed

Your gentle touch helps fight it

And this is what you’ll have said

~

“Baby, you’re so awesome

You hold me up so high

Your soul is oh so handsome

I will love you until I die

~

If things are tough for you right now

I’ll tell you what I’ll do

I’ll try to explain just how

Because, honey, I adore you

~

If you need my strength

I’ll lend it all to you

If your day needs more length

Well, I’ll see what I can do

~

Tomorrow when you come home

I’ll be waiting here for you

To return the love you’ve shown

I’ll gladly wear your shoe

~

For you’ve given me all

Even when you had none to give

I want to be there to cushion your fall

Because without you I just can’t live”

~

Then, you’ll gently touch my skin

And whisper in my ear

“Honey, you’re at the bottom of your bin,

Take from mine, my dear.”
