if i know anything about a heart

if it knows love at all, it will break

the unrequited lover sails a sinking ship

a hop, jump, and a skip across oceans

one tender muscle aches for the return

don't know why sometimes why it hurts

when it's just the same it's always been

so bad this heart shows it’s wrath

today the hanged man meets death

in the stead of its graceful dignity

because a heart isn’t only used for love

sometimes a heart lifts us to the sun

hope so high it loses sight of risk

reminded of the capacity to feel good

letting go of holding anything back

the major impact of a Tower moment

a rapid fall that impacts who 'i' is to 'you'

fall to jagged and liminalled potential

a plain crushing me into nothing more

survival powered by a singular mass

if i know anything about a heart

if it knows love at all, it will break

tragedy for being favored by the gods

treasured and worth it until it isn't

a standard investment in the hidden self
