A Ten-Year-Olds Birthday

10 year olds birthday

well, the party was on Saturday

her birthday is on Wednesday

Her list looks like a teen

it is certainly a tweens list

Her mother sent it and put check marks and needed an assist

I circled a few and passed it on

She may be a con

Put some pricey things down

and you may get the rest, no frown

She got 2 of some things,

lots of beads and other jewelry things

~

She now has 2 blankets, 2 squish mellows

2 LED lights and Nutella to share with the fellows

She has 7 siblings, 2 brothers left at home with her

3 brothers and 2 sisters to play chauffeur

~

Grandpa and Grandma used their DQ points

for an ice cream cake and that caused disappoints

as Grandpa thought the points were all his

I said, "How can you deny one of your favorites?

~

He answered by saying, "They are all my favorites!"

He is rather good at sharing his love and attentions

I have my favorites and it is almost always the young ones.

Out of diapers, walking and talking are my favorites - no teens.

Birthdays get expensive as we have 7 children

27 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

What else do we have to spend our money on

we can't take it with us and it won't be long until we are gone

~

Besides we used DQ points and with it being Grandpa's favorite place

it won't be long before we have points for another cake for mercy's sake.

We had her party at Pizza Ranch, what kid wouldn't like that? It flowed

smoothly and there is a game room and even a few of the teens showed.

The birthday was a win!

Tomorrow we are camping out of town

and will see her there too as they are taking a spin

over there too. All smiles and we have no frown.

Enjoying them while they are still young

and are nice to grandparents without the mean teen tongue.
