Rather than being in the Dark!
He crept through my window 🪟
Peeking through my blinds...
I'm aware of The Night but that's
When He hides...
Sweating and Glowing
I can see his glare
So, Bright, it Hurts
My eyes!
Lurking after me,
He threatened me to come outside...
I knew that I needed his
Radiant Energy...
Without How could I endure?
He helps me find my pride...
He's all around the world But He has Downtime...
I suppressed my Tears and Faught Against my Fears...
I was Trapped in the Darkness of Desperate Times, but from him, I Still Can't Hide...
I wonder if he knows my favorite color 🎨
I got up one morning and Seen His Yellow Smudge across my Bedroom Floor...
And I knew it was Time That I Revive.
I grabbed my Robe and Slippers on Too...
I came outside and Faced the Sky...

I First Saw Him
When I first saw him sitting on the wall, relaxed and looking out over the water, I was sure he wasn't a local. Not including children, there are only about 250 or 300 of us in this area full-time, though that number is ten-fold in the summer, and I know everyone at least by sight or by family resemblance. And yet, the way he sat looked familiar and started my mind sorting and discarding among the families I knew, not quite like this one, not quite like that one.
