You sing so sweetly of summer days, my dear,
As if of a lost lover returned, to be rediscovered anew.
Tell me again of the sun’s warm rays embracing us in full,
How it idly strokes our skin with its tender caresses.
Remind me of the gentle breezes that whisper sweet nothings in our ears,
Of the sense of anticipation for the heat to come.
Yes, you capture it all so beautifully in words and melody.
Would that these days could be captured in truth by your voice,
So that they may be relived once more, and ever after,
Much like a song on repeat.
