She sits in her favorite spot,
After having a warm bath,
Clothed in buttery soft pajamas,
Listening to nature’s playlist of the night.
She hears the crickets chirping,
The leaves rustling in the wind,
An owl hoots in the distance,
The night is still yet steady moving.
She sips slowly on hot tea,
Its warmth flows through her,
Her eyes blinking slowly,
Every moment is perfectly so.
She recalls the day fondly,
A grin spreads on her face,
Content and gratitude fill her soul,
The night mirroring the peace of the day.
She sleepily strides to her bed,
The sheets are silky and cool,
Her head sinks in the cloud-like pillow,
She drifts effortlessly to sleep.
