You Captured Her Heart
You captured her heart before that first meet
When only the very idea of you was first known,
Her heart was given freely for you to do with as you will
Although she already knew you were only on loan.

From that point on you got to experience
All that a Mother's Love entails,
Not a day goes by, not a thing you could do
To cause a Mother's Love to fail.

A Mother's Love is an island
A safe port in any storm,
An unconditional love
You learn is to be the norm.

A Mother's Love will become your safe haven
A place to stop and rest your weary feet,
The distance and miles don't mean a thing
When life decides to turn up the heat.

A Mother's Love will forgive you anything
No matter what you were to do or say,
A Mother's Love will see her break her own heart
Rather than allow you to lose your way.

A Mother's Love will see her end her own life
To keep you sure and safe,
A Mother's Love just needs calling
At any time, situation or place.
***
A Mother's Love doesn't end, ever
Not when you are born or even all grown,
A Mother's Love is your surety and security
Your never ending home.

Sabotage
Lately I’ve been in a funk where everything can be going right. You know I’m in a happy place talking to who knows, I’m at peace and feel like everything is just going great you know. But once I start seeing that everything is going great for some reason I need to sabotage it. I need to sabotage my happiness and what I have going on in my life so no one else is able to do it for me. Does that make sense? Am I the only one who gets this way?
