There once was a man below the roof

who had lost all of his younger groove

He wished upon a star

to erase his old scar

And a flash thought this was his last move.

.

His mother an older woman now

stood in shock behind her own window

no more breath she could take

and her faith took a break

for the flash her one god had to show

.

Her young son, one of three, left for good

never be seen in the neighbourhood

his mother, very old

froze without being cold

and sadness would be her new found mood.
