You love me more than Nirvana
I love you more than puppies
In the mornings, waking up beside each other
You look like a mad scientist
I look like a sleepy raccoon
In the nights when you are far away, I hold close your shirts, your gifts, your stuffed rabbit from your childhood
During the days when I am far away, you scroll through my pictures, asking for more, studying my face
I wake up with scratches on my back
You with bruises on your chest
You whisper to me when you are sad
I say nothing at all
You have apathetic tendencies
I get anxiety from grocery shopping
You like to make long playlists
I listen to them, and feel close to you
You and I
Somehow a perfect fit
