Thoughts are much like strangers
Some loud and intrusive and proud
Upfront about their dangers.
Others are small, blending into the crowd
Soft snow, white as doves as it neatly falls

Or if it shines, its glint shimmering calls
The air beside me is rigid and stale.
What you gave me dissolves in my mouth moments after you leave.
How I wish it would linger, like the marks on my back,
