A Like Intention

A villanelle of lovely sentiment.

To hold you, at once possessively, in a thought,

Bound by intense sentiment, we became enchained,

Only tender intention there, against which you fought.

***

A cherished memoir I have, of sweet moments brought,

Framed by delicate emotions so fragile and pained,

Never aggrieved by intentions of most dark thought.

***

Each perception a misaligned urge just caught,

Uncontrolled momentum, with intense fire gained,

Shaking this; craving to purge threads unconsciously fought.

***

Intricately crafted a like intention; this an end so sought,

Perhaps this creation, misunderstood, its hope contained,

Entwined we are, once bound by heartfelt thought.

***

Of its image, carried forward with intention wrought,

Proud of a knowledge no misunderstanding feigned,

Only its end divides; this inevitability at once fought.

***

An illusion of accomplishment, not respected but ought,

Friendship’s embellishment so gushingly unconstrained,

To hold you, at once possessively in a thought.

Intricately crafted of tender intention; our ending fought.
