To the world,

I weep for all of humankind,

For all those who suffer from heart and mind.

Like you, I too am slowly crumbling

From the internal fire deep down that is grumbling

You fight among each other in effort to be seen and heard

While my heart breaks at the sound of every word.

I don’t see sides or colors or reasons

Just the destruction that comes with every new season.

Every day a new war is raging

And the fires that rise to the surface are now blazing.

Maybe this will lead to the fatal gashes

Or maybe this will be our moment to rise from the ashes.

In the end I still have hope.

You may not be able to undo what has been done,

But you can make a change and be the light that the world needs.

The light that I need.

That is my hope and my only plea.
