A Girl Walks Alone at Night

A poem somewhat inspired by Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

When I first wrote this I was in the middle of a Buffy the Vampire Slayer rewatch. I was (at the time) on season 4 when I felt inspired to create this poem.

a girl walks alone at night

while others say she has no right,

there’s very little you can say

that will make her change her ways.

some have tried

but were all denied.

she’s ready to fight

and nothing can match her might.

she’s strong,

and never wrong.

the demons attack

but she sends them back.

the monsters fall,

and the girl grows tall.

she continues to walk alone at night

while others still say she has no right.
