A girl lost but now loved.

A young woman who finally loves herself.

An image I got off the internet that goes with this poem.

In the mirror, she once saw a stranger,

A girl lost in shadows, a heart full of danger.

Her self-esteem shattered, like glass on the floor,

She hid from the world, locked behind a closed door.

But one day she paused, took a breath deep and true,

She looked at herself, saw a soul that she knew.

Her eyes held a spark, a light hidden away,

A whisper of strength that began to convey.

She started to see, in each flaw, a new grace,

In every scar, a story, in every tear, a trace.

Of battles she’d fought, and the courage she’d found,

In the silence of night, in the world's quiet sound.

She learned to embrace the girl in the glass,

To cherish her spirit, let go of the past.

With each passing day, her love grew and grew,

For the woman she was, and the dreams she’d pursue.

No longer a stranger, she danced in the light,

A beacon of hope, shining ever so bright.

She fell in love with the person she’d be,

A journey of self-love, setting her free.
