A Game Of Charades

A Planet That Sounds Like Pattern

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 4 years ago • Updated 3 years ago • 1 min read

A game of charades in the moonlight,

the stars added to the display.

Mother Nature puts on a magnificent show,

beauty hangs, effortlessly - there, in space.

Such wild wonder at how it continues,

to wow, with no effort involved.

Floating round after dark in its orbit,

universal mysteries yet to be solved.

The pull of the moon on the ocean,

pulls my heart, with its comforting hand.

Ebbs and flows bringing calm to my waters,

as it dances it’s way on the sand.

Moved like the reflection of light on the surface,

free to move, with the high and low tides.

I come back every night to find solace,

with the man in the moon by my side.

Tonight he is dressed up like Saturn,

wearing a ring to show he is mine.

Such a beautiful gesture, I can’t help but blush,

I should probably lay off the wine.
