A Butterfly

spreads its wings

and flutters by

flying high

through the grassy pastures

and trees

flight is halted by

a strong breeze

wings of splendor and

look as though they have eyes

the butterfly is often on a petal of a

flower

to drink in its sweet nectar

to thrive
