A Boy and the Rain
Photo by Max Bender on Unsplash

He sits alone in his broken house,

As his parents fight in the room nearby

The rain pouring down from the sky,

Bringing with it a chill to his skin.

Admiring the beauty of the rain,

He ponders the vastness of life.

The sound of the rain provides respite,

From the pain that he feels inside.

He looks out the window,

As the rain continues to fall.

In his heart there is hope,

That everything will be alright in the end.

The rain is a reminder,

That this too shall pass in time.

He knows that the storm will pass,

And that life will be alright again.
