"We just fit well together
like a bottle and a bottle cap."
And I have the tendency
To daydream about you
And I know, despite the oddity,
What you say is true.
We fit well together
Whenever you hold me tight.
You say I'm just the right size
And I squeeze you until you groan
Because there's too much love
To feel it alone.
"We fit well together
like a bottle and a bottle cap
or a zipper and
the little zipper-hole-thing
that you put the zipper into,
It's called a zipper stop, I think."
We fit well together,
In the opposite ways we work.
The different ways we're strong,
And in the same things we love.
We argue about silly things
And talk about all we think of.
"We fit well together
like a bottle and a bottle cap...
or like a shoe lace and an aglet
or a paper clip and a sheet of paper"
Or a dream and a smile.
We fit well together
Because we're you and me.
