~A boy sat in front of his cake,
All he wanted was to play catch with his friends,
As he blew out his five candles he wished for a ball and glove,
When all of the gifts were open the boy looked sad,
His wish had not come true
A few years later the boy wished for a video game system,
To fit in with all of his friends was all he wanted,
When the party was over he sat and cried,
His wish had not come true
Sixteen! The boy thought for sure that this was the year,
He had done everything right,
Blowing out his candles he wished for a car, Nothing yet again,
“What is the point?” he thought,
Wishes never come true
Some years later after the boy had grown into a man,
He decided to give it one more try,
No cake or candles,
Just a birthday with for love,
Expecting his luck to stay the same, he forgot about his wish
Not long after that by chance,
He met a woman,
They built a beautiful friendship,
Slowly that friendship turned into love
One day as the man sat watching the woman sleep,
It hit him,
She was it,
He loved her,
His wish had come true~
