Wishing you a day filled with good, golden sunshine magic - something that a birthday should bring to you, every year, round and round the Sun we all go, on this little spherical ball in space,

The joy and sparkle of a new year begins, how funny it is that we all exist within this atmosphere together, all having birthdays, all having celebrations, all having moments of commiseration,

Here’s to you and all that you bring, to everything you have been and will also be, stay free, little ray of light, you are the goodness and kindness we need,

To life, to earth; to all in your reach, you are a warm hug on a cold evening, a shadow in the sun, a cold drink on a weekend and a warm kiss in bed,

‘Happy Birthday!’ We shout, ‘woohoo!’ We sing, you should be celebrated now, and forever within this stardust world of wonder and being,

How bizarre we live, as humans, delirious in thinking we need to be stressed, drink less, more rest, but not too much rest, we work, we gym, we’re told to stretch, and eat well, all these things we try to fit in, all these things that fill the days between one birthday and the next one, oh so near.

Remember to do what your heart is shaped by, remember darling to keep true to your minds eye, to your goals and soul, to your own happy place,

Really, at the end of the birthdays, the end of the road, the end of the atmosphere and world we know today, all you need is to be happy, that is true, spend every day like it’s just for you.

One day, it’ll be less easy, and you’ll think ‘how so? How did all my years just go’…

This moment of realisation, you won’t think ‘thank goodness I worked so many hours, thank goodness I stayed late for that money’, you’ll think ‘gosh why an earth did I spend so much time chasing something that although is gold, is actually less golden than life itself, less golden than being alive, now I’ve used all my aliveness for fake gold, how silly it is that I don’t care much for it now, but the aliveness I wasted I would bring back in a heartbeat forever, if I could, I would. Time is more precious than the money that takes it’,

So darling, happy birthday to you, hands together, big round of applause to you, here’s to you and being so true, to your mind, your spirit and your purpose.

Here’s to not falling into the rat race, here’s to chasing dreams, not money, here’s for being grateful for breathe and air, for seeing the world, for dabbling your toes, in both the sea; the bath tub; the puddles in the rain.

Here’s to you experiencing life, not through momentary snippets of materialistic happiness, but through connection, love and deep contentment - from being close to your fulfillmemt and at one with your life, not constantly chasing the next ‘big thing’,

When you get there, it never seems that big anyway, but the joy you leave in loved ones hearts from being near is so much bigger than possible to write,

Don’t waste your years on chasing money over dreams, chase sunsets and sunrises, chase good times and friendships, chase your children round the garden, chase the butterflies, don’t waste your energy on this earth for something less than fulfilling.

You have all you need, dear little one, right in there, in your heart, in your head, in your celebrations of every day existence - every day is your birthday, reborn again, celebrate every second you can, before it’s gone without consent
