7 Moments of Zen
Exploring our relationship with nature through haiku
1. The After-snow
Snowmelt slicks the roof
Teardrops stain its gray slate face
February fades
2. The Turning of the Season
March brings mud and slush
The garden stirs with a growl
“Ignore me no more.”
3. Evergreen Season
Shovel splits the soil
A Christmas tree still living
Grows to glow again
4. The Wind and the Cherry Tree
Like an April bride
I trod a path of blossoms
To pick up the mail
5. Time Enough
Daylilies, mayflies
Their time’s short but sufficient
Let’s live in the now
