Good and evil,
Heaven and hell,
Right and wrong,
We as people would like to think we can control these things,
We are so mistaken,
We have no control over anything,
We are all on preset paths to nowhere,
Everyone gets sick, jealous, sad, upset, happy,
We don’t know when but we all will die,
Does how we live now shine through to the next life?
Are we sure that there is a next life?
What if when we die we just stop?
Frozen in time forever,
Doomed to live that last moment over and over again,
If this is the case, why live?
Why not pick your forever moment?
At least you will know what to expect

Watcher at night
When I was a child, I would occasionally sense an intense, ominous presence watching me as I lay in bed at night. These experiences were rare, perhaps a few times a year. I would keep my eyes shut and try to ignore the feeling until it passed or I fell back asleep.

Doing it for the troops
The others dropped like flies around me. We fought and struggled to get to this point. I'm the only one left now. The objective is right there. A mere two hundred feet away. The last of my team got a bullet to the head right next to me, but I couldn't do anything. I was able to locate and neutralise the sniper as he shot my friend, so his death was at least not in vain.
