28

A Poem

By Angel AdagioPublished 2 years ago • Updated 2 years ago • 1 min read

I once had a reading done telling me I would get married at 28,

I race the clock and try to rewrite time and change the fate that the cards had for me.

Many failed dates, tears, and broken hearts later I have found myself a few years to 28,

but have found someone I would wait

and wait

and wait

till 28 if I had to in order to be with him forever.

I thought the chapter had closed,

the door being shut by him and never being opened again.

He opened it today and ran into my arms and said, “Please, let me in”

and I welcomed it.

So I said to him, “Of course. This is fate.”

I never want to let him go again,

“Let’s make it to 28”
