A poem for the 24 million sufferers in Yemen

24 hours in a day,

24 hours of breathing, blinking, swallowing, talking, laughing creating, working, being.

24 hours of listening:

 to the traffic, the neighbours, your friends, a TV;

to the news, to the nature,

24 hours of listening to the nature around you,

animals, wind, cars, trucks, guns, rain, trees,

talking, watching, crying,

 arguing, fighting,

 asking, pleading,

Listening to try and figure out what the hell is going on.

24 million people.

24 hours a day, listening to gunfire and trying to explain to their children that they have no food,

because the country needs all of their money to fight itself.

 6 million take,

 24 million lose,

Lose food, water, health, safety, security, hope

24 hours to survive every day,

To get clean,

 to drink water,

 to find food,

to find work,

 to find a doctor.

24 million to get help.
