The best of unlikely friends
a story about a kitten and tiny mouse
This is a story about a kitten and a tiny mouse The pair would run and play all through the house! The humans would ask why did their kitten did not eat the mouse, isn't that what cats are for around a house? But the kitten did not care, the mouse was her friend. No one could compare! The two were best of friends, they did everything together. They played games like tag and hide go seek. They snuggled while they napped and sat together to eat.
One day the humans got mad, they didn't understand the friendship the kitten and mouse had. The humans stomped their feet and began to shout. "I want that filthy thing out!" For the next few days, things got quite scary. The humans set traps filled with treats. Every last one was meant to kill the tiny mouse in a heartbeat. The kitten saw these traps too, no more running and playing from room to room. Every hide go seek spot had potential doom!
One day, the kitten was relaxing in the sun, when the humans brought in the new one. A big gray cat. He was grumpy and thought nothing to attack! He was a hunter, that was a fact. The kitten stayed away, the hunter didn't seem to like to be bothered anyway.
Just a day or two later, chaos broke loose! The hunter cat was on a chase, the tiny mouse running away! Fast as she could go, she ducked and dodged that gray cat's hunter claws. When the kitten saw this, she knew her friend needed help and she took off after them to save her friend. When the gray cat saw what the kitten was trying to do, he snarled " No wonder the humans chose me over you, your lame, cats are hunters! I'll show you!!" The three were now running past a trap, the gray cat pushed the kitten and she tumbled straight into it. Her leg was caught on impact, it hurt so bad! When the tiny mouse saw what happened, she knew she didn't have time to deal with this hunting cat, her friend needed help.
The tiny mouse looked around, she didn't have much time. The gray hunting cat was close behind. Then she saw a way, she could trap the cat in the fishing crate. All she had to do was get the cat in, the door would close and she could get away. Quickly she jumped up on top. The hunter car came in just in time, he didn't think, he just took a leap, in the crate he went and just as planned the door shut tight. The tiny mouse ran back to her friend, but she was too small to release the trap. She needed to find a helping hand. The tiny mouse realized this was a time to be brave so she ran straight back into the house, she ran straight in front of the humans and did everything she could to make them look down. Finally one of the younger ones noticed her, "Look! It's that tiny mouse!" Then another shouted, " Where is that big gray cat?!"
The tiny mouse knew this would be hard to do, thinking hard she said to herself, "Maybe if I do tricks instead, maybe if they think of me like a pet, they will follow me to my friend." So she did cartwheels and walked on her front paws around the human's feet. Then she tried to show them the way by running back and forth to the porch. Finally, one of them said, "Isn't that strange, like it's trying to get us to follow it.....maybe we should."
Curiosity got the best of them and they all followed the tiny mouse out the door. They followed her straight to her friend. The humans quickly freed the kitten's leg. "It was a good thing the tiny mouse came to the rescue." Said one of the young ones. "I have to agree." One adult said. " Friends till the end, I'd say. I had no idea a mouse could be trained!" Said another. "I wonder where the gray cat is." said a young one out loud. Just then, the tiny mouse remembered and began jumping up and down, she knew where the gray hunter cat could be found.
Once again she showed the way, the gray cat sulking in the crate, the humans laughed and helped him escape. The human's hearts grew kind upon this day, the tiny mouse became family, she could stay! The gray hunter cat was adopted into a new family with lots of love. The kitten and the tiny mouse lived together forever as friends and family for the rest of their days. THE END

Thoughts
Hello subscribers! My first posting to vocal was a short and completely untrue crime story. I had so much fun writing it and really would love to compose a full version. I actually have stories I've started and saved in my google docs, some in need of editing, some needing to be continued, I have always since I can remember, had a passion for stories. When I was between 10 and 14 I was known among my friends to vanish for days, weeks, and sometimes even months! Eventually, they realized I could be found at our local library hidden for hours in vast piles of books, mostly of paranormal quality. The spooky, unknown has always been my personal favorite. I have had experiences with the paranormal since I was a young girl, at some point, I cut myself off from the experiences due to other people's beliefs. Recently over the last few years, I've learned a lot, and taken back what I love. This year, I am doing me. I am finding ways to do what I love, and in doing so, I've gained a lot. Maybe not money, but I have gained insight, love, insperation and a foundation that although may be odd by others account, is infact me. No one can live my life for me, and it's the same for you too!

Turtle Crossing
Bob and Marg were two medium-sized Red-eared turtles. The terrarium they used to live in, was pushed off the table by the two boys, during an impromptu hockey game at the Mackenzie house, one night when the parents were out partying and the baby-sitter was making out with her boyfriend in the Rec-Room in the basement. They somehow made it out of the house and were now living in the wooden foundation of the mailbox located on the front lawn near the curb of 85 Minto Place in suburban Providence, Rhode Island. One day they decided, as only turtles can, that they should make a FAST (and I use that term somewhat loosely) break for the yard across the street. This is the story of their adventure.
