You’re Doing Much Better Than You Think

If you are breathing, if you are here on Earth, then you are doing so much better than you think. Even if you’re just living your life, you’re doing better than you think. You can interpret things, you have at least one of the five senses, you have the gift of the present called today, and you’re in your right mind. Whenever you put one foot in front of the other to get closer to your goals, you’re on the right track.

The goals you have set before you that haven’t come into full fruition mean they are still possible to accomplish. The fact that those goals are on your mind means God’s not through with you yet.

Look back and remember all the trials God has brought you through. It could have been a divorce, losing a loved one, a job loss, being overlooked, being counted out, being in a job you dread. All of these things and more, God has brought you through. All of these things you’ve learned and grown from in order to shape you into the person you are today.

Keep moving, no matter what it looks like. Many people are content creators. Many people get caught up in the numbers factor: How many followers do I have? How many people have watched my videos? How long have they watched my videos? Will I make money off of this?

Let’s change those perspectives to: At least one person saw value in me to watch my videos. I am building a following and making an impact in someone’s life, even if that person never says so. I may not be making money right now off of this, but my fulfillment comes in knowing I’m making a difference for someone out there.

All things are working together for your good, even if you don’t see it right away. Another thing, come close, I’ve got a secret to ask you: What if that person who is the most impacted positively throughout all of this is you? You are, in fact, the most important person in your life after God!

Why should you get caught up in the numbers game? What I have come to learn is to embrace what you can control and leave the rest in God’s hands. As a content creator, and even as a person in general, you can only control so much! Release that stress and negativity holding you down by saying: I did the best I could knowing and given what I have in my grasp. I’m letting God do the rest.

You’re doing better than you think because you’re not who you used to be. The way you control your anger is different, the way you deal with negativity is different. The very fact that you’re reading this means you’re searching for the brighter side of life, and that’s something to be praised, my friend!

The things that once brought you down and held you back somehow don’t seem as important anymore. I’ll let you in on another secret: God deliberately let you forget some of the details of your pasts, so you can move forward without letting your problems hinder you (Isaiah 43:18-19). He knew that if you stayed stuck on it, remembered everything that went wrong, every person that betrayed you, wished ill will toward you or tried to take you out, you wouldn’t see the beautiful moments ahead of you. He rewired your mind and took some details out. Now you have a fresh start!

Remember, you are so much bigger and better than what you faced.

You're coming out stronger and wiser than before.
