Do you know the value of the ideas brewing inside your mind?

Do you realize you have a treasure trove that is always talking to you?

It could be the subtle voice of your subconscious. It could also be a wellspring of creativity.

Whatever it is, one could say that being able to communicate this consciousness could create profound changes in your life.

If you discovered this to be true, would you not agree?

I'm here in Italy at a nearby campground, looking out at the water on the beach, just enjoying people watching. Listening to an audio by Jim Rohn, one of my favorite motivational speakers, on why it is important to keep a journal.

The invention of a journal is invaluable. There was a time when only the Divine could read and write. We take for granted today what years ago was sacred. Truly a privilege to be able to record your life. And a life worth living is a life worth recording.

To jot down your thoughts, to capture ideas, and to collect stories. To become an expert story teller. To find out what's inside you. Find out what makes you tick. And, just as well, to be able to relate to others.

There's a whole world within each one of us. If one can learn how to definitively and expertly communicate that world within them to another, then they can bridge the gap between worlds.

This is the importance of keeping a journal. The importance of capturing and collecting ideas.

The importance of being able to effectively communicate, enunciate and illustrate yourself.

It just makes everything else more efficient.

Designing it on paper will lead to a domino effect for everything else. Same as walking increases the hippocampal muscles in the brain that are responsible for memory and long term thinking.

Buying a journal is long term thinking about the future. Reflecting on the past, and jotting it down in a way that it will always last. For we don't just think, we ink. What gets written gets done.

What might someone find if they took a peek inside your journal?

Jim Rohn calls a journal one of the three treasures to leave behind. Could there be gold and glory in telling your story?

Taking the time to jot down and analyze the experiences that you have in life could be worth more than its weight and gold.

It could be something that gets you through hard times in the future. Allowing you to reflect and connect with your deepest and inner most self.

Synchronizing with your own subconscious. The lessons that live beneath the surface.

What if you had a way to be able to recognize patterns, or stop new ones from forming before they arose?

Would this not be a valuable tool for growth? Knowing that you spend time with yourself the most?

A journal can allow you to see the things that others do not see. To uncover the things that others may never discover.

Seeing the world through the eyes of your psyche. But also being able to step back and take an objective perspective.

To have an objective perspective means that you will be able to see yourself without harsh judgment.

It also allows you to more empathically connect with others who have gone through similar experiences.

How valuable would it be to be able to not only change the world within yourself, but to be able to assist the same for someone else?

The odds are that if you have gone through something, someone else has gone through it as well and recorded it inside of a book.

Do you have any addictive habits or tendencies? You may feel you are destined to go through these experiences again unless you realize the cause to the effect.

When we are more aware, we can see what is already there. Awareness means you are becoming awakened to a world that already exists. Only most people are too asleep to see it.

Don’t be one of those people.

Remember to always capture ideas and collect your thoughts. Thoughts become things. It will change your reality in the way you react and respond to everything that has happened to you within this realm.

Your legacy is not just what you do yourself, but also how you affect others. How you affect the collective. Your legacy is all the lives that you have touched.

In your book of life, let no one else hold the pen.

See what’s inside your own mind, and leave a library behind!
