I love to stretch and practice yoga! I feel good and enjoy the sensation after full body stretch. I have started stretching for many years since I suffered from rheumatoid arthritis 10 years ago. Yoga stretch has eased my joint pains as stretching can lubricate our joints and reduce joints stiffness. Besides that, yoga has calmed me down as it promotes relaxation as it involves deep breathing and focus on mindfulness. It reduces stress and has improved my rheumatoid arthritis condition substantially. From basic yoga stretch to yoga vinyasa, yoga strength flow, I have fallen in love with it. Daily yoga practice nourishes the health of my mind, body & soul.

Improve flexibility and range of motion

Stretching and yoga can help to improve flexibility and increase range of motion which can reduce the risk of injury. Increased flexibility in our body will help us to move more easily and we feel good with our bodies' ability to extend further and move freely.

Reduce muscle tension, anxiety and depression

Stretching and yin yoga can help our bodies to reduce muscle tension which in turn eliminate anxiety and depression by promoting relaxation, mindfulness and a sense of inner peace. Yin yoga is a gentle , relaxed method of yoga that emphazing in holding poses in longer periods which focus on your breath, thoughts and body sensations. This will calm down our nerves and minds and create relaxation to ease anxiety and depression in our modern lifestyle.

Improve posture and joint health

Practicing stretching and yoga can help to improve posture which can alleviate pain and discomfort in the neck, shoulders and back. Stretching also improve blood flow to the joints and improve flexibility. Some yoga poses such as happy baby pose, side twist can effectively ease and cure lower back pain. Yoga is effective option to reduce chronic arthritis pain as stretches penetrate the connective tissue in our spine, hips, knees, ankles and other joints.

Increase strength and muscle tone

Many yoga poses require strength and balance which can lead to increased muscle tone and overall strength. Strength yoga style s like Ashtanga. Vinyasa flow, Utkatasana, Plank pose and so on focus on building strength and increase muscle power. So, you may want to throw away heavy weights and switch to yoga practice.

Improve cardiovascular health

Some forms of yoga, such as Vinyasa or Power yoga can provide a cardiovascular workout, which can boost heart health and circulation. Cardio yoga combines yoga-inspired and dynamic movements in various sequences to increase and sustain an elevated heart rate helping train your heart. Besides that, Cardio yoga flows will elevate your heart rate and get those calories burning. You will sweat in no time when your heart is pumping fast and feel good after the yoga practices.

Overall, there are many benefits to doing yoga stretching both for the body and the mind, which is why it has become such a popular form of exercise and relaxation. Yoga can be performed by people of all ages from kids to elderly. Kids yoga classes are gaining their popularity in the society with the aim to improve both physical and mental health of children.
