What is the cure for depression and life worries?

"Have no anxiety about anything,"

We only need to trust in God.

Depression and worries will be gone

because the Lord Jesus said in Matthew 6:27,

"And which of you by being anxious

can add one cubit unto the measure of his life?"

One cubit, based on biblical standards,

from the tip of your longest finger

to your elbow,

that is one cubit.

It was a way of measure used in the early times.

One cubit is more or less 18 inches.

If you are going to worry, to be constantly anxious,

can you add 18 inches to your life?

No. Worrying cannot add anything.

Worrying can add to causes of death, depression, diverse preoccupations.

What is the advice of our Lord?

In Matthew 6:33 -

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God,

and his righteousness;

and all these things shall be added unto you."

"...seek ye first the kingdom of God,

and his righteousness;"

All the things you need will be added to you.

Worrying cannot add to your life.

To take away worrying, what is the counsel of the Lord?

Let us read Philippians 4:6 -

"Have no anxiety about anything,

but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving

let your requests be made known to God.

And the peace of God, which passes all understanding,

will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

"Have no anxiety about anything,"

You should not be anxious about anything.

That is very broad:

food, clothing, what to drink, house to live in, money to spend.

"Have no anxiety about anything,"

Things happening around us,

accidents, illnesses, diverse things that make man anxious.

It says,

"Have no anxiety about anything,

but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving

let your requests be made known to God."

There is no one else we can approach but God.

Not Mary, not Peter, not anyone else.

"...let your requests be made known to God.

And the peace of God,"

The peace of God that is greater than all understanding of man,

of doctors, of psychologist, of psychiatrists, of experts,

the peace of God reaches so much farther.

The peace of God that will conquer all understanding -

The peace of God which passes all understanding,

whosoever understanding it may be, putting them all together,

it is useless.

That peace of God will keep your heart

and your mind in Christ.

And if you are in Christ,

you have no more worries, anxieties, preoccupations,

because you trust that if He still wants you to live,

you will live.

If He does not want to, He is already taking your life,

there is nothing you can do.

Put your trust in that.

And you will see, God will add to you your necessities in life

and you should not be anxious anymore.

In Matthew again, in Matthew 6:34, it says,

"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow,

for tomorrow will be anxious for itself."

Such a wonderful word of God.

"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow,

for tomorrow will be anxious for itself."

Your preoccupations, problems, anxieties will be gone,

depression will be gone.

Do not be anxious.

Why doesn't God want us to be anxious?

Because if you trust in God...

In I Peter 5:7 -

"Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you."

That is the secret, brother.

You can trust in God "...for he cares about you."

God has care for those who trust in Him.

God has care for those who obey Him.

Like a parent who cares for his child.

Beyond what a child can think of, it is the concern of a parent.

Your care for your children, for your grandchildren, for your loved ones,

you don't even want a fly to land on him

when you look after your little child.

You don't want to leave him unattended because you care about him.

But what you can do is limited;

you are only human, there are things you cannot see.

But if God is the one caring, no one can sneak in on Him.

No devil can touch you when God cares for you.

If your trust is in God, you will not fear.

Whoever witch may try to put a hex on you,

no matter what kind of sorcerer casts a spell on you...

There are those who fear hexes, spells.

There really are witches. That is in the Bible.

There are so many such wicked people under the power of the devil.

Witches, sorcerers, hexers.

They cause harm to others if you have no protection from God.

Let us read Revelation 21:8.

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers,

and whoremongers, and sorcerers,"

There really is a verse that says witch

Leviticus 20:27 -

"A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit,

or that is a wizard,

shall surely be put to death:

they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them."

In Israel, in the past,

when they saw a witch, a medium for evil spirits,

it was commanded for them to be stoned to death.

That is a reality in life. There really are witches.

So, those who cast spells, you will also not fear them.

Sorcerers, hexers, witches.

There really are such in the world because there are evil spirits.

That is what causes man's anxiety and sows fear.

But if you have trust in God, do not worry, just obey God.
