West Bengal's Landscape Painter Brings Home Laurels: Paramita Goswami

“You can create anything, once you witness it and engrave it in your mind.” says the remarkable artist Paramita Goswami. Like every artist, Paramita loves to portray her vision on a canvas. She strongly believes anything visually captured can be painted.

Paramita Goswami is a contemporary landscape painter who lives and works in West Bengal. Being a native of West Bengal, her colorful paintings pay homage to her motherland. Her distinctive personal style emanates joy and peace and expresses the vibrant spirit and atmosphere of the Bengali culture. She is passionate, ambitious, and driven. Paramita thrives on challenges and confidently conquers them.

Picturesque Landscape, Figurative, Floral, and Realistic Paintings are all brought to life by Paramita with contrasting and harmonious colors and bold compositions. She loves experimenting with colors.

At a very young age, Paramita received several prizes for her innate talent. She achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Honours) degree from the University of Calcutta in the year 2002 and a Master’s degree in the same subject, in the year 2005. Currently, she is working in the capacity of Purchase Executive (Senior) in a Pvt Ltd Company.

Throughout her life, Paramita has always been fascinated by paintings and how the world is represented through the eyes of others. Naturally, she was drawn to paint on canvas. The interest was cultivated during her child’s age and further developed when she opted to take her Bachelors’s Degree.

Her palette is innovative and complex. She mixes numerous different oil paints to form new colors out of it and uses them in her paintings.

Due to the large scale of her paintings, her pictorial scheme appears to extend beyond our peripheral vision. She is an optical illusionist whose art defies special limitations. Her painting illustrates many heart-touching stories. Some of her best works are By Lane North Kolkata, You & Me, and, Beauty of Nature.

She believes that "Drawing is one of the best ways to express anyone’s theory or sentiments i.e created in their mind canvas ”.

" My themes are traditionally Indian where nature & environment plays an important role in it. The essence of rural Bengal and its vibrant greenery cast a spell on me and inspires me to bring out the softness of nature in its varied forms. There's a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best. " says the incredible artist.

West Bengal's rich culture and heritage which has captivated Paramita's inner artist.

Goswami had always wanted to pursue art as her career. She has been drawing and painting throughout her life, thus she wishes to take Painting as her career. As they say, it's never too late to start, she wishes to take her passion as a profession. Her paintings when hung on the wall can make a house a warm cozy home. It perfectly can fit into the living room to bedrooms. Her masterpieces of art can enhance the home decor and can bring grace to the walls.
