Starting out in life is like beginning a new game. You learn where you are and what you can do but still limited by knowledge and experience. You lack guidance and abilities you haven’t learned yet. At the same time, you have no clue where you exist on the world. Barely able to put words together you go through the beginning days experiencing the basics.

From the yin yang to the have and have not, you are left separated from what you believed to feel warm and good. You grow to experience the basics but for not so good reasons. You begin to see difference between light and dark at an age too early for most. With no morality properly rooted, you fall naive to what is suppose to growing pains. The act of love, the bond of friendship and the strength of family.

Constantly searching for some light at the end, you pray victim to experiences and adjust yourself to fall in line like all the others before you. Assuming what’s been done is right while building bonds that later will turn into regret and trauma; you begin to question the meaning of life and it’s requirements for happiness. You overhear words from elders of how “it was similar in their day” or “we all have to go through it some way or another”. Your naive brain who’s searching for guidance and sense of validity believes it to be true and slowly begins to accept the fate that might be bestowed upon you.

You learn to communicate while becoming drawn by curiosity. Your need for belonging begins to grow as you venture through different individuals. Adopting different techniques and mastering many skills under your belt for future battles. From season to season, year to year, the yin yang phenomenon grows within us all. The light and darkness balances us to keep things in check. Live and learn we struggle and survive. We are not perfect but we are not flawed. We are unique and striving. Use the darkness within us to find peace and have the light within provide solace to the darkness that we share.

You wake up to the same thing everyday. Light or dark you wonder what's different or what is the same. You find yourself following old habits. Checking your socials, checking the news all you see is small good things but a lot more dark things. You either feel jealous or sad for the things that you see with hopes to find more good things counter act that. What brings down the morning is doing so in the first. So much of our lives have been through a screen and over time our mental health leaves us feeling different ways that breaks us down to where we become codependent of these things to feel something. Work is one thing to be on socials but having it be a defining piece of validation becomes a life changer.

Life is all about finding balance within yourself and adopting habits while building boundaries for yourself in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Of course there is downsides which challenges us to be better. This challenges are there to test what we know and how far we have come in order to understand where we stand with ourselves. Finding what we need to work on becomes a huge plus by being aware of what we didn't see or know. Though it takes a difficult set of abilities to gain the discipline in order to overcome the powers that be. Thriving and finding that Yin-Yang balance within yourself comes from within as well as well regardless of position in life.
