The Wendigo Possession
from Vocal. Media to Published Author
There are no words that can express the feeling of pure excitement and felicity when the news finally arrives.
"CONGRATULATIONS, YOU'RE NOW A PUBLISHED AUTHOR!"
This moment that I'm living in has been my one and only dream since I was a teenager. I have dedicated so much time and effort into my writing. I have spent so many sleepless nights and shed an ocean full of tears.
I was told that I couldn't do it and that I was living in an imaginary world. I have been ridiculed and been made fun of. I was the topic of cruel rumors and jokes. Believe it or not, I was even accused of being a witch and dabbling in witchcraft. Eventually, I just gave up.
Recently I started writing again on Vocal and my passion was fired back up with so much passion, I could barely contain myself.
To make a long story short, someone reached out to me after reading some of my stories on Vocal. They wanted to help me publish my first book. Today it finally happened.
Available on Amazon and the Kindle Store.
I jumped up and down. I hugged my family and I sit down and cried. I have done it! I'm a published author. After all of these years of being put down and laughed at...I DID IT!
We're allowing the ebook to run for a while and will eventually move forward to paperback. Even as I write this my hands are still shaking.
A few days ago I wrote an article called "I'm That Vocal Girl". The story delved into the pain and struggle that I have endured becoming a writer.
At the time I was unaware that I'd be writing another story today and screaming out loud to the world "I DONE IT!"
A little sneak peek into The Wendigo Possession.
We all have dreams, but how often do we make them come true?
Many of us, when young, have great dreams. We do not allow circumstances to limit how far we dream. We feel enthusiastic, ready to conquer the world.
However, as we grow a little older, and after hitting obstacles and failures, we start to stop believing in ourselves, and lose our enthusiasm, faith, and ambition. We settle into mediocre life, plod on, and we either forget our dreams, or they become just vague powerless wishes.
How many times have people told you that you cannot succeed? I have been told this all of my life.
How many times have people laughed at your dreams and tried to discourage you? Probably many times. If you give up on your dreams, you might not be happy and often complain about your life and your environment. You might feel that life could be different if you did not give up.
If you give up on your dreams, you will not live the unique life you wanted when you were younger. If children are allowed to dream, grown-up people can dream too, no matter what other people say.
If you believe that you can succeed, and do not listen to anyone who says otherwise, with persistence, discipline, and faith in yourself you can reach far. There is no limit.
Do not Give up on Your Dreams
It is never too late to start dreaming again and following your dreams.
There is one more thing to be said. If you really want to achieve something, you need also to be unique. Do not try to be someone else. Be unique and people will notice you. If you do the same things other people do, you might be successful, but probably not on a big scale.
Be Unique
To be successful on a grand scale and be noticed, you need to be yourself, be unique, and be different from others. Learn from others. That’s would be most helpful, but you don’t need to follow their steps and become “copycat”.
Do not be afraid to be unique.
Do not be afraid to be different.
When you are unique in what you do, whether it is writing a book, building a business, becoming an actor, or becoming an athlete, you will become a leader, not a follower.
Keep writing! Don't you dare to ever give up! Allow your critics to make you stronger. Allow your haters to make you brave. Prove them all wrong! Do it for YOU!
